Nice Day for a Horny Toad Burger

I was excited to ride as it had been a couple of weeks. Work had been cutting into the riding time. I was off and so I knew how I wanted to spend my free time on this great Wednesday.

I joined up with Herman around 7AM and we did the metroplex shuffle to meet Yeeha in Midlothian for a quick cup of coffee. We arrived at Kim & Jennys around 7:45, had a nice warm cup of coffee as it was a tad brisk to start the day.

We had a great ride. The weather was beautiful and the blue bonnets were out in force. This is a great time of year to ride around North Texas. We took a little break at the overlook of the Fossil Rim Wildlife Park. I had never been there and it was pretty cool. I guess they give tours for folks and cars can drive through the park and feed the animals. Looks interesting.

After this little break we headed over to Cranfill's Gap to eat at the Horny Toad. I had never eaten there. It was a tasty burger indeed. The place was a dive but then those are always the best places for a lunch stop. We enjoyed lunch and then headed back to the the house. I hate the Metroplex shuffle but it was a nice change of pace to go to the west side of town and do some riding. Thanks to Yeeha for guiding us around. It was a great way to spend a day on the bike.
